Introduction to Course
Scott Adams began his career in tourism 20 years ago guiding kayaking trips on Georgian Bay in Ontario, Canada. He quickly found opportunities to move his skills into the office, landing public relations and marketing contracts that led to founding Birchbark Media in 2002, and shifting focus to content marketing and digital storytelling. His passion for telling stories about travel experiences has taken him to over a dozen countries. Scott’s projects have been diverse and global, producing travel videos, documentaries, web series, 360-VR and drone videography for businesses and government organizations. Today, Birchbark Media is a video production and content marketing agency that focuses on adventure travel. Birchbark creates videos, blogs, email, lead generation and social campaigns for everyone from small operators to national destinations. But more importantly, Birchbark knows where and when to place that content to reach the right people. When not in the office or on a work trip, Scott can be found hiking, paddling or exploring the natural areas in and around Peterborough, Canada, camera in hand.
